WHO District Health Manager’s Manual

CPHE is collaborating with WHO SEARO in evolving a capacity building guidebook for district level public health managers to strengthen primary health care and public health system development in South East Asia . The  guidebook will focus on integration and convergence and the emerging values of equity, rights, solidarity and social determinants. The  project involves interactive participation with public health resource people from mainstream institutions and the civil society sector. It builds on a statement that evolved at a WHO SEARO consultation in February 2008 on Epidemiological Applications for Public Health Action.

The guidebook builds on SOCHARA’s earlier work with WHO SEARO on guidelines for the Roll Back Malaria programme at district level, which focused on  partnerships with the community, civil society, the education sector, intersectoral coordination and other approaches.
