Public health policy development

SOCHARA through the policy and advocacy unit of CHC earlier and now through CPHE has been actively engaged in public health policy development and policy research. Some key initiatives SOCHARA has been involved in over the last decade are:

Karnataka State Task Force on Health and Family Welfare reports
- Recommendations of Task Force Interim Report
- Recommendations of Task Force Final Report – 12 cross cutting issues of policy concern
- Vision 2020
Karnataka State Task Force on Health and Family Welfare research studies
- Review of externally aided projects in the context of their integration into health service delivery in Karnataka (2001)
- Does Karnataka state need more more medical colleges? (1999)
